The Barren Tree

Sitting here watching the sun rise through the blinds, I'm fighting back the cold bite of the morning air. I slept like a Rockstar on a nostalgic futon surrounded by numerous empty cans and bottles. "Those games of Zombies(TM) last night was the shit" I rise with a kick, stretchyawn, and a bowl. "AT&T is killng me..." My music will have to do. Heartbreak off The White Party album by DJ Randy Bettis opens a random set of dance and hip hop atmosphere to better set the mood for my quandary. "Why is there a Barren Tree in the living room?"

Now I'm sure this tree used to be alive thriving off the nature it was a part of. Even if that was in man controlled environment. I'm sure being alive was much more enjoyable than it's current sitch. I am reminded of cattle raised to make a one day final journey through a slaughterhouse and into a McDonalds burger joint. The difference here is we take the corpse and prop it up in the corner to slowly dry and decay in front of us. No to mention the deco art that is in most cases obtrusive and visually offending. "People need to pick a theme!" in the end how long is too long to keep the tree... It's almost Febuary, this tree has no art... Perhaps it's like saying goodbye to a loved one. Or maybe they're all far to lazy to care.
